Will anything be delivered by post?

No. All Gift Experience Days gift boxes are delivered digitally by email, there is no physical product to post, collect, or wrap. Once your purchase is complete, the voucher arrives in your inbox instantly, ready to forward to the recipient or hold onto until the right moment. This also means there's no risk of a gift arriving late, making experience boxes a reliable option for last-minute gifting.

Can the gift voucher be sent directly to the recipient?

Yes. During checkout you can choose to have the digital voucher emailed directly to the recipient at a time of your choosing, or sent to your own email address so you can forward it yourself. If you want to hand it over in person, you can print the voucher from your email. The recipient's copy never shows the price paid, so there's no awkwardness regardless of how you choose to send it.

How Gift Vouchers Work

How do I buy a gift experience?

Once you've chosen your box, select your price tier, add a personalised message if you'd like one, and complete your purchase online. Payment is processed securely and your digital voucher is emailed to you immediately after confirmation. The whole process typically takes around five minutes.

What do I receive after placing my order?

You'll receive a digital gift voucher by email as soon as your payment is confirmed. The voucher contains the recipient's unique redemption code, your personalised message, and instructions on how to redeem. You can forward it to the recipient immediately, schedule it to arrive on a specific date, or print it out to give in person. The price you paid is never displayed on the recipient's voucher.

Can I personalise the experience gift?

Yes. During checkout you can add a personal message which will appear on the recipient's voucher alongside their gift. The price paid is never shown at any point on the recipient-facing voucher, so your message is the only personal element they see. For corporate orders, company logos and custom branding can also be applied to the digital gift template, contact the team to arrange this for bulk orders.

How soon will I get the gift voucher?

Your voucher is delivered by email the moment your payment is confirmed, there is no processing delay. If you don't receive it within a few minutes of purchase, check your spam or junk folder before contacting support. Once received, you can send it to the recipient immediately or hold onto it and forward it whenever the time is right.

What if I don't know what experience they'd enjoy?

That's exactly what gift experience boxes are designed for. Rather than picking one specific activity on the recipient's behalf, you choose a box that suits your budget and let them select from the range of experiences it contains. Boxes are curated by recipient type and price tier, so the options inside are already filtered to suit the kind of person you're buying for. The recipient browses the full selection in their box and chooses the experience they want, removing the guesswork entirely.

Booking Questions

How does someone redeem their gift voucher?

The recipient enters their unique code at the redemption site to unlock their gift box. Once inside, they can browse the full range of experiences available to them, select the one they want, and follow the booking process for that specific activity. They'll choose their preferred date, time, and location directly with the experience provider. Full redemption instructions are included with every voucher, and the Gift Experience Days support team is available to help if needed.

Can a booking be changed once it's confirmed?

This depends on the individual experience provider's terms. Some providers allow date changes subject to availability; others have fixed or non-changeable bookings. If the recipient needs to change a confirmed booking, they should contact the Gift Experience Days support team as early as possible, we'll liaise with the provider on their behalf and confirm what options are available. Can the recipient exchange the voucher for a different experience?

Yes, within the same box. If the recipient decides they'd prefer a different activity, they can select an alternative from the other experiences available in their gift box, provided it hasn't already been booked. They cannot exchange their voucher for an experience from a different box or at a different price point. If they need help switching their selection before booking, the support team can assist.

Is help available if they need support during booking?

What happens after they book their experience?

Once the booking is confirmed, the recipient will receive a confirmation email from the experience provider with the booking details, date, time, and location. We recommend keeping this confirmation safe in case it's needed on the day. If the provider offers a reminder closer to the date, the recipient will receive that directly. For any questions after booking, the support team remains available to help.

Exchanges & Refunds

Can I request a refund on a gift voucher?

Yes, provided the voucher has not been activated. If you change your mind after purchase, you can request a refund within 14 days of the purchase date, in line with your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Once the voucher has been activated, meaning the recipient has used the code to access and browse their gift box, it is no longer eligible for a refund. What does "activated" mean for the refund policy?

A voucher is considered activated once the recipient's unique code has been entered and used to access the gift box and browse the experiences inside. At that point, the recipient has begun the redemption process and the voucher is no longer refundable. If you want to return a gift and the voucher has not yet been sent to or used by the recipient, contact us as soon as possible and we can confirm whether a refund is still available.

How long is a gift voucher valid for?

All Gift Experience Days vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase, giving the recipient two full years to browse, choose, and book their experience. The expiry date is clearly shown on the voucher so the recipient always knows how long they have. Twenty-four months is twice as long as many other experience gift providers, making it a practical choice for recipients whose schedules are unpredictable or who like to plan ahead.

What happens if the voucher expires before it's used?

If the voucher is approaching its expiry date, the recipient can contact the Gift Experience Days team before it expires to arrange an extension for a small fee. If the voucher has already expired, reactivation may also be possible for a small charge,. contact the team to discuss options. We recommend getting in touch as early as possible rather than waiting until after expiry, as extension options are more straightforward when requested in advance.

Can the recipient cancel a booking after it's confirmed?

Cancellation terms depend on the individual experience provider's policy, which varies by activity type and supplier. Some bookings can be cancelled and rebooked for a different date; others are non-refundable once confirmed. If the recipient needs to cancel, they should contact the Gift Experience Days team as soon as possible and we'll confirm what options are available with the relevant provider. What happens if the experience is cancelled by the provider?

If an experience provider cancels a confirmed booking, the recipient can typically rebook for an alternative date with the same provider, subject to availability. If rebooking is not possible, the recipient should contact Gift Experience Days and we will work with them to identify a suitable alternative experience within their gift box. Provider cancellations that are outside the recipient's control will not result in the voucher value being lost.
